DAY 1 Japan - Zurich, Switzerland

Board your international flight in the Japan and relax on your overnight journey to Zurich, located on the banks of the River Limmat and the north end of Lake Zurich in northern Switzerland.

DAY 2 Zurich

On arrival in Zurich, enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After settling in, get time free to explore this beautiful city with the visit to Bahnhofstrasse. This is one of the most famous shopping streets in the world. This evening, sit down to a delicious welcome dinner at the hotel.

DAY 3 Zurich - Lucerne

Travel to picturesque Lucerne by bus, where after lunch on your own a guided sightseeing tour will showcase its historical and cultural highlights. Walk across the postcard-worthy covered wooden Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), the city’s best-known landmark. Other highpoints include a visit to the poignant Lion Monument and a stroll through the Old Town, whose pretty buildings huddle along cobbled lanes. This afternoon you may take the optional tour up to the top of Mt. Titlis by Titlis Rotair for a fantastic bird’s eye view of the surrounding snow covered peaks.

DAY 4 Lucerne - Interlaken Express Train - Interlaken

After breakfast, board the famous Lucerne-Interlaken Express train bound for Interlaken. Sit back without a worry in the world - your luggage is transported independently to your next stop—and dream in the azure lakes and white peaks as your train glides to its destination. Following your 2-hour journey, enjoy free time to explore Interlaken. Wedged between Lake Brienz, Lake Thun, and the peaks of the Bernese Oberland, this vibrant, half-timbered town enjoys an idyllic setting and overflows with outdoor activities. In the afternoon, you may wish to join an optional tour to Jungfraujoch, known as the ‘Top of Europe’, where we ride the cogwheel train past the north face of the Eiger to the summit of Jungfrau for amazing vistas over the Aletsch Glacier, Black Forest and Vosges Mountains.

DAY 5 Interlaken - GoldenPass Express Train - Montreux

Following breakfast, step onto the iconic GoldenPass Express train that operates between Interlaken and Montreux, and feast your eyes on some of Switzerland’s most spectacular scenery as you cruise past towering Alps, deep valleys, and emerald meadows. After around three hours, arrive in Montreux and enjoy an afternoon trip to picturebook Chillon Castle, a 13th-century fortress on Lake Geneva. Delve into the halls, chambers, and courtyards of this well-preserved outpost and absorb the stunning views of the mountain-ringed lake as you chart Chillon’s storied history.

DAY 6 Montreux - Zermatt Shuttle - Zermatt

Depart your hotel after breakfast and meet your driver for an excursion to Chaplin's World: a museum set inside the Vevey house where the great actor and filmmaker lived. Explore the life and work of the legendary man independently here before heading onward to Taesch to catch the Zermatt Shuttle, a convenient train service that runs to Zermatt. Admire the views on the short journey and savor dinner in Zermatt tonight.

DAY 7 Zermatt - Gornergrat Bahn Train - Zermatt

Today brings a ride on the Gornergrat Bahn, one of the highlights of your vacation. This historic cogwheel train winds up to the summit of the Gornergrat, taking you through landscapes, tunnels, and bridges, and revealing breathtaking views over the world-famous Matterhorn along the way. On arrival at the top, passengers are treated to stupendous Alpine panoramas from every direction. This afternoon, discover Zermatt with your tour guide. DAY 8 Zermatt - Glacier Express Train - Lugano

Following breakfast today, embark the iconic Glacier Express – the world's slowest express train, and marvel at the spectacular landscapes on route to Chur. Enjoy lunch on board. Continue by comfortable bus and heading for Lugano, in Switzerland’s Italian-speaking Ticino region, where you will stay two nights.

DAY 9 Lugano

Fringing the small lake which shares its name, Lugano offers a wonderful escape from modern life with the opportunity to relax beneath its waterside palms, cruise the lake and hike through the majestic landscapes. In the afternoon visit Piazza Grande, Ciani Park, the Belvedere Gardens, where the parkland boasts not only camellias and magnolias but also countless sub-tropical plants and modern works of art.

DAY 10 Lugano - Bernina Express Train - St. Moritz

Leave the palms of Lugano as we make our way to Tirano in Italy. Your Alpine journey continues on the celebrated Bernina Express. This high railway connects northern and southern Europe, crossing 196 bridges, 55 tunnels, and the awe-inspiring 2,253-metre-high Bernina Pass to glamorous St. Moritz. After this unforgettable journey, enjoy a delightful dinner this evening.

DAY 11 St. Moritz - Zurich

Enjoy the morning by visiting Lake St. Moritz, Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana. Later, join us for our trip back to Zurich—a final opportunity to immerse in Switzerland’s sublime scenery. Discover the history-steeped Old Town, view the architecture of the Town Hall (Stadthaus), the Grossmünster church, the Fraumünster church and learn about the city’s rich history and cultural significance. From the hill top of Lindenhof park, it is the best place to view the Limmat River.
